The Legal Aid and Justice Authority (LAJA) is a statutory body established under The Legal Aid and Justice Authority Act, 2020 to provide legal, financial, and other assistance for access to justice to poor and vulnerable segments of society in criminal cases and matters ancillary thereto.
LAJA has the statutory mandate to ensure Access to Justice (A2J) for All – Leaving No One Behind by providing legal aid and legal assistance in criminal matters.
